MS 11936/364/562286 Thomas Purves's monument at Dunbar states he has an additional daughter, Jean Purves - who died 1st Feby. 1825, aged 62 years. No record has been identified for this daughter, and her birth would have been significantly before Thomas's marriage. She therefore may be from a first wife or illegitimate.
