man John Archard alias Hayes‏‎ 1) 2)
Born ‎± 1668 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England‎ 3)
Baptised ‎18 Jun 1668 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England 3)
Died ‎12 Oct 1732 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England‎, approximately 64 years 4) 2)
Will signed: ‎25 Oct 1732 Crudwell, Wiltshire, England 2)

Notes: There are two Elizabeth Archard Hayes baptised within a year of each other (1697 and 1698). That Elizabeth who married George is the daughter of John and Catharine is proven by John and other immediate family members' wills.

John is also identified as "John Archard alias Hay Junr" in two of his children's baptism records: "John Hay born 1692 to John Hay Junr and Katherine Hay" and Mary Hay born 1693 - "ye daughter of John Hay Junr and Katherine his wife"

Notes: John Weake's will of 1749 states the following:

"Firstly I give and bequeath unto my kinsman George White, son of George White, late of Hankerton in the said County of Wilts gentleman Deceased by Elizabeth his late wife also Deceased"

"...unto my kinsman John White good son and heir at law of the said George White deceased"
"...unto my kinsman John Archard otherwise Hayes"
"...unto my kinsman Mary Chambers widow of Giles Chambers late of Nailsworth in the parish of Horseley", Gloucestershire
"...Giles Chambers son of the said Mary Chambers" younger than 18
"...unto my kinsman Giles Archard otherwise Hayes of Tetbury"
"...also... John Archard otherwise Hayes Henry Archard otherwise Hayes Mary Archard otherwise Hayes sons and daughters of my kinsman Henry Archard otherwise Hayes late of Tetbury"
"...Abraham Terrill of Tetbury aforesaid Mason"
"...Mary Smith wife of Thomas Smith of Newnton"
"...Ann Smith and Mary Smith daughters of the said Thomas Smith and Mary his said wife"

Following the above names it is possible to start to identify George White's relatives. George White married Elizabeth Archard alias Hayes. There is a relevant baptism for Elizabeth in 1698 to John Archard and Catharine. Intriguingly John and Mary are baptised to John Hay and Catharine (circa 1693).

Gles Archard was baptised 1704 to John and Catharine at Crudwell. Henry Archard was baptised 1706 to John and Catharine too. He probably died in 1740. Given the above, it's extremely likely that the relationship between George White and John Weekes is through his wife Elizabeth.

John Weekes is bondsman for marriage of George White with Elizabeth Archard Alias Hayes, and also witnesses the will for Elizabeth's father, John. We know from baptismal records that Elizabeth's father is John and mother is Catharine. We have no other evidence for the Catharine's maiden name, but given that John Weekes is described as "Great Uncle" of George White who married "Mary Wayt", and that his will was dated 1749, combined with the bondsman evidence, it seems convincing that Catharine was born Catharine Weekes. From wills it's possible to identify a Catharine Weekes, daughter of Thomas Weekes and Dorothy of Ogbourne St George... or is this the Catharine Weekes born in 1668 to John Weekes and Ann in Salisbury. Possibly.

Henry Wake's will (dated 1727) makes bequests to the folllowing:
Edward Reeve of Newnton, carpenter, and Ann his wife
Anne and Katherine, sisters of Edward Reeve
John A alias H of Crudwell, Giles AH of Tetbury, Henry AH of Cirencester, Elizabeth White wife of George White of Hankerton, John Hitchins, Henry Hitchins [These would seem to be the children of John and Catharine]
Sister Jane Williams - sons John and Robert Williams [There is marriage between a Robert WIlliams and Joan Wale (or Wake ?) at Ashley in 1659]
Kinsman John Wake of Newnton
Elizabeth Matthews wife of Gabriel Matthews of South Cerney
Mary Driver, wife of Christoper Driver of South Cerney
Jane Glover of Larkngton widow
Kinsman William Archard AH of Crudwell [This could be John's son William, who does not receive a legacy alongside John's other children.

John Wake though is seemingly unlikely to be the John Wake of Ashley - while the dates work, there are separate parish records and wills for the relevant individuals - who have heirs.
