That William baptised in Ticehurst, is the same individual as William who subsequently lived in Brenchley, can be confirmed with reasonable confidence from the names of the children being baptised at Ticehurst matching the children subsequently listed in William's will - including the name Keturah, which is sufficiently unusual for it to be extremely unlikely to be coincidental.

There is a settlement certificate dated 1754, for William Apps of Ticehurst, in Ticehurst.
