There is also a 1719 baptism for Honour Jewel to John and Anne (Ching) - who married in Kilkhampton in 1719. These suggests there were at least two John Jewels of similar age alive at the same time in Kilkhampton. There is only one burial record for a John Jewel at Kilkhampton - 15th January 1768, but that has not been included here given the multiple John Jewels and, more importantly, given that Elizabeth's burial record in 1773 describes her as the "wife" of John. If John were deceased she would have been described as late wife, or widow. Similarly, there is a baptism of a John Jewel at Hartland in 1687, which could be this John, or another John, so has not been included here. Children: 1.
