Notes: Ranulf lost his northern lands to Scotland as a result of the Treaty of Durham between Kings Stephen of England and David of Scotland. Subsequently, he would side with Matilda during the Anarchy. While Matilda ruled England, Stephen's queen Matilda of Boulogne managed to defeat Ranulf and his allies at Winchester, which eventually resulted in Stephen being able to resume the throne.
